what if being resilient is actually leading you to burnout?

Life can be challenging, right? 💯

We all face ups and downs in our personal and professional lives, resilience is an art within itself on how we bounce back from life’s challenges and plays a vital role in maintaining good mental health.

The difference between those who appear more resilient and those who struggle to bounce back from challenges lies within their experiences, coping mechanisms and mindset.

Resilience fuels our determination, however when this determination comes at the cost of our self care this can lead us to burnout 🔥

People believe that the longer we tough it out, the tougher we are, therefore it will lead us to more success.

WRONG.

Success lies in finding balance between the performance zone and recovery zone.

The performance zone also known as “flow state” is a heightened state of focus and immersion where you experience peak productivity, skill, and enjoyment, achieving your best results and tapping into your full potential.

Whereas the recovery zone is a state of rest and renewal where you nurture your wellbeing and creativity. It allows you to recharge, preventing burnout and foster long term success.

Overworking and exhaustion are the opposite of resilience; sometimes this can also be seen as a badge of honour in fast paced work places or as you’re trying to scale your business quicker than your competitor.

We forget that to perform at our peak we need to have the balance right between the performance and recovery zone.

If you believe you are endlessly resilient it can lead to neglecting your self care and setting boundaries, eventually leading to burnout.

Remember, everyone's rhythm is different. Embrace your own balance of performance and recovery to achieve your personal best.
